If your alignment is too closed at address the possible affects are Hooking, Pushing, Fat shots. If your alignment is too open the possible affects are Slicing & Pulling. Question; do you take your stance to the target or do you take your stance to the ball. Answer; you take your stance to the ball. Aim the clubface first and then use it for a guide to step out with your feet. The result will be that your feet will be what is called ‘parallel left’ of the target. This correct position means that a view back to you, standing at any point along the ball target line, would see a clear outline of your right side.
