Slam Door on Downswing. When you push, you must be leaving the clubface pointing to the right at impact, or open in relation to the target. If you’re constantly pushing, imagine that on the downswing you are going to use your right hand and arm to “slam a door” at impact. It’s as if the door’s hinge is on your spine and the door jamb is in line with the ball. You must make the door slam at the instant your club reaches the ball. “Slam the door” aggressively and you’ll find that the ball will jump off your clubface with more force, and on target.
