When playing against the wind, a club should be selected that carries a lower number than is generally used. Instead of a number6 use a number 4. The Fault is a ball driven high into the wind loses speed quickly and is brought to the ground, out of control. For this shot the ball should be hit with a LOW TRAJECTORY AND THE GOLFER SHOULD PLAN FOR LITTLE OR NO roll after the ball hits the ground.

Tail Wind; When playing with a tail wind select a more lofted club for control. Half shots should be avoided because a player will try to steer them. The tail wind destroys backspin. Therefore the shot should be played short of your target and allowance made for the roll-up that always follows.
