Putting Solutions

3 putting;  Distance (getting the weight right) or eliminating putt number three. Why does anyone 3 putt? Is it because they have no sense of direction? Is it because they are hopeless from four or five feet and if this is the case, why are they four or five feet away anyhow? You already know the answers. The facts are plain to see, the first putt did not get close enough, thereby leaving a second, miss-able putt. So to better judge your distance, I will outline two tips to help you stroke the ball with a consistent hit.Tip1/ imagine that the golf ball is a roller-skate wheel and you're going to hit it as you would a hoop. Or Tip2/imagine that a tack is protruding from the ball and you're going to hammer the tack with your putter

you can’t score if you can’t putt;   Set-up. Position the Head first. When your eyes are not over the target line, a certain amount of imagination is required to "see" the line. Some people can do this quite well; most people cannot do it at all. Your putting address is much like working out a little "bombsite". Example is of your head positioned over the ball to permit a vertical sighting plane directly over target line. Scanning back and forth will help visualize the line better so you can "fix" it into memory.

you can’t score if you can’t putt# 2;   incorrect hand and shoulder position at address. When you swing the putter your hands will want to work under your shoulders.  Awkward backswings occur when the HANDS fall OUTSIDE OR WAY BACK UNDERNEATH THE SHOULDERS. The best starting point is to let the hands hang directly below square shoulders. Keeping the hands directly below the shoulders is the simplest way to keep the swing more back and through to your target.
